Attracting Targeted Traffic

I was recently in Dallas, Texas for a seminar on internet marketing. There were several speakers presenting various topics over a three day period. I came away with one overall message. You must focus your webpages in order to attract, and keep, visitors.

What do I mean by that? People on the internet search for very specific information. If someone pulls up your web site in a search and doesn't immediately see what he or she is looking for, that visitor moves on to the next site on the list. A great example was given during the conference. Suppose I want to buy a red silk tie. I do a search on the phrase "red silk tie." I click on one of the links in the search result and am taken to an index page for men's clothing. I don't have the patience to take the trouble to navigate that site to find a red silk tie. I am going to click another link in the list. Say the next link I click takes me directly to a catalog page for a red silk tie. BINGO! One more click takes me to the order form and I've completed my task.

The same principle applies to an informational web site. If someone doesn't see what they want right away, he isn't going to stick around and explore the site.

Here is where content articles come in handy. Using content articles, rich in keywords and phrases relevant to your web site, will attract visitors interested in what you have to say. Interested visitors become repeat visitors. They recommend your site to like-minded people. Those people visit your site, become repeat visitors, recommend your site to others .... You get the picture. You gain a following. Traffic to your web site will grow exponentially.

What is the use of having a web site if no one sees it? Use content articles on your web site to attract visitors and leave them begging for more from you.

What is PLR?

PLR stands for Private Label Rights. In reference to articles, it means that you may use the article as you wish including publish it verbatim as your own. Access to such articles is usually limited, thus the term PRIVATE.

PLR articles are written specifically for use by others. Professional writers are hired to write them. They do the research and write about the topic in a general way. You may take such articles as is and claim them as your own without fear of copywrite infringement. But that is not the intention of them, nor should they be used in that fashion.

As I have said before, original content is key to bringing traffic to your web site. PLR articles are helpful in that they can save you loads of time in research and writing. But simply copying and pasting them into your site can be detrimental to you. Access to such articles is limited, but not exclusive. Other people do have the same access and right to use them. You do NOT want to claim authorship to an article that someone has also claimed as their own. It reflects badly on you and makes people wonder about your ethics. Your attempt to brand yourself as an expert goes right out the window. What you need to do with PLR articles is PERSONALIZE them.

PLR articles are accurate about their topics, but are written such that you can easily edit them to suit your needs. In order to stand out from the crowd, you want your personality to shine through. Tweak or rewrite the article to reflect your own voice. Make it sound as if YOU are talking. Add a personal anecdote. No one else will be able to add your personal experience, thus making the article original in content. PLR articles give you the facts to work with. You just need to take those facts and make them YOUR story.

Who is Cache Articles?

Greetings all!

My name is Eva, and I have been marketing on the internet for nearly three years now. I jumped into it having absolutely NO idea what I was doing. Prior to getting online, I spent my life training for a career in medicine. Halfway through specialty training for psychiatry, I was forced to resign my residency position. You see, I suffer from chronic clinical depression and adult ADHD. The stress of residency training, living in a big city with no family or friends nearby, and ultimately, the death of my mother, got the best of me. I could no longer function effectively as a physician.

So, depressed and dejected, I scrambled for something to do with my life, not to mention for a means to make a living. I started out in affiliate marketing programs. I learned how to use traffic exchanges effectively and built a few decent downlines, but could never get to the point of actually making money.

Then I met Aaron Peavy. We clicked both professionally and personally. We have the same philosophy when it comes to internet promotions. You have to promote yourself, not your latest biz opp. Aaron and I formed a partnership, and our first JV, Nexus Exchange, has supported itself since it opened last September.

Aaron and I continue to work on ways to help internet marketers achieve the success that they wish to achieve. Our latest creation is Cache Articles, a private label rights article membership site. Yes, there are many article membership sites out there, so why did we choose to jump into such a competitive niche? Because we truly believe that Cache Articles will help people get the traffic that they need to be successful on the internet.

Original content is key to driving traffic to a web site. I realized that personally when I started my first blog last year. I was very passionate about my topic, and I submitted entries regularly. I got a huge response to it. I was shocked to get comments from people I didn't know! Even now, I don't write nearly as often as I used to, but I still get traffic to that blog. Now, not everybody likes to write. Some people might even describe writing articles as painful. Plus, you would want to be sure that what you write and publish on the internet is accurate, so there's the added time and effort to do research. That's a lot of work to do something that you would rather not do. And personally, when I don't want to do something, it don't get done.

I believe that Cache Articles will become an important tool for internet marketers who either do not like to write or do not have the time to research and write original articles. This blog will not only get the word out about this new site, but also teach marketers HOW to use private label rights articles effectively and efficiently to promote themselves.
